◼︎ About Tanzanian Batik ◼︎
Tanzanian batik is a 100% cotton wax-resist dyed fabric that is still produced today, primarily by women artisans across Tanzania.

Each piece is individually decorated using hand-drawn wax techniques or carved wooden blocks before being hand-dyed layer by layer. As a result, variations in pattern placement, color intensity, dye texture, slight fading, and motif alignment are all natural characteristics of the fabric. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.

Because each fabric is handmade, every piece is truly one of a kind, and the same pattern or colorway is rarely available again. We hope you enjoy the unique character and individuality that can only be achieved through traditional craftsmanship.

Due to the nature of the hand-dyeing process, slight variations such as uneven dyeing, fading, differences in color intensity, and pattern misalignment may occur. These are not defects but are considered part of the beauty and character of handmade batik. We kindly ask that you make your purchase with an understanding and appreciation of these unique characteristics.

<Return Eligibility & Timeline>

  • To initiate a return, please contact us via email within 3 days of delivery. Claims received after 4 days are not eligible for refund or exchange.
  • Eligible items must be shipped out/returned within 7 days of receipt.
  • Returned items must be unworn, unused, in their original condition, and repackaged in the original packaging with all tags attached.
